Classes for the summer are picked, Fall ones are to be decided this week.
Twins are on a two game winning streak.
Been playing the Gears of War 3 beta since Saturday. Have to say it's pretty decent.
Not really much else going on, just been busy with school and other life occurrences. I should be able to post more once this week is over. I've got two papers due next Monday that take priority.
Today's Portal Kombat day, who's picking up one or both of these releases?
I'll post some interesting (to me at least) thoughts that I have throughout the day. Please enjoy!

Busy week was busy...
My posts have been lacking, I know. With night class on Monday and orientation to my transfer college on Tuesday. Then more school and new TV the next two days, I haven't really gotten an opportunity to write anything. I could talk about how much the Twins suck this year, but I'm sure anyone having to read another one of my sports rants will let out a sigh and casually click off my page. My summer classes are picked and ready to go. The only downside to this is that I get absolutely no break in the transition. In fact, my finals week for the Spring semester is the beginning of the Summer semester at my new college. Thankfully I don't have a class when I have a test. Not that it wouldn't be too big of a deal, I'd just have to schedule taking a final a few days earlier...
Um, today's Friday and stuff too. That means that I'm raring to go for another Chipotle day. Seriously, it's the best food on the planet and if you've never had it, shame shame shame... I also have to go see the stupid college play that's being put on as a requirement for my theatre class. Not really looking forward to sitting through two and a half hours of "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov. But hey, I might get drunk with my buddy afterwards so it the night shouldn't be all bad. Okay, small Twins rant (only one sentence). How the piss can a team blow two saves in one game!?!? : http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2011_04_14_minmlb_tbamlb_1&mode=wrap
Have a good day everyone!

Season's finally over
After not making the playoffs for I don't know how many years in a row now, the Minnesota Wild fired coach Todd Richards. It's not a surprising move considering he couldn't right the ship when we were in the middle of our dismal 8 game losing streak. What's on tap for the next couple months? Well, besides addressing the vacancy at the head coaching position, we need to overhaul the roster. Being nearly at the salary cap with under performing players is unacceptable. Rebuilding mode is no fun, but it's a necessary step in order to be competitive in the long run. And Minnesota fans deserve a hockey team that can actually play as well as the top tier teams in the league (Detroit, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Washington, Tampa Bay, etc...). Another need that must be addressed is finding a goal scorer. You could say that Martin Havlat kind of fits that role, but only scoring, what, ~25 goals in a 81 game season is nothing to be proud of. Marian Gaborik was the only true player we've ever had that could consistently net a goal every other game, and we let him go for nothing...
Okay, done with the hockey rant. I only brought it up because yesterday was their last game of the season and wanted to express my disappointment with them. I won't be doing the same with the Timberwolves. They just seem to be, to put it lightly, 'un-fixable'.

Um
Went to class
Ate at Chipotle
Came home
Played Black Ops
Now going to bed...
That was pretty much the extent of my day. This weekend should be somewhat more eventful since I'm going to my dad's. Pizza and the Twins game :D

Ugh...
Another Twins loss, and to make matters worse Tsuyoshi Nishioka fractured his fibula on a takeout slide from Nick Swisher. The guy didn't even get to play a home game yet! It's crappy because all of Minnesota wanted to see what he could bring to the table, and now we'll have to wait a few months... So now I'm assuming we'll be calling up Luke Hughes from the minors and Matt Tolbert and him will be alternate to fill the void.
In other news, urm, there's nothing else to say. School is winding down and I've got orientation at my transfer college next Tuesday. Should be exciting!...

Hey, theTwins won!!
The Yankees are the team that I hate the most out of pretty much EVERY sports team in the entire universe. And the fact that the Twins have never played against them well in my lifetime adds more to the bucket hatred. So yeah, down 4-0 going into the 8th inning and winning 5-4 in 10 really brings a smile to my face. Brian Duensing settled down after the 2 homeruns in the first 2 innings and the bullpen did the rest. So now the 4 game series is tied at 1 a piece. Looking forward to the next 2! (Lots of numbers...."The numbers Mason!!! What do they mean!")
And here's a random pic to finish off the post. Good night all!

Weekend
Wasn't really in too much of a blogging mood these past couple days. Not that I wasn't pissing away most of my weekend in front of my computer (which I was). Here's a few things that I've noticed.
The Minnesota Twins got off to a rough start. Losing two of three against Toronto wasn't bad, it's just the way we lost the games that was the troubling part. 13-3 on Friday (Rebecca Black song gets in my head every time I see that word), and 6-1 on Saturday. Starting pitching was awful with the exception of Nick Blackburn today, and relief pitching wasn't much better. Joe Nathan proved that he isn't as dominant as he once was before his Tommy John surgery. His fastball has lost its velocity and his slider cannot be located correctly to save his life. But hey, there's still 159 more games to prove me wrong...
And the new anime season has started. I'm not sure how many people watch anime, but regardless, I'm a little bit excited. I'll probably watch a good amount of the shows' first episodes to see which are the "keepers".

No new TV tonight :(
I really look forward to watching new NBC comedies (as you could tell from one of my early posts). Sadly there's nothing new tonight. I do enjoy reruns of these shows, but I mean seriously, new > old.

Reading about my semi-dull school life doesn't seem like it would be that interesting so I'll try to switch it up a bit.
Who else answers yes?

I love the comments from yesterday
I appreciate the concern from some of you. The class I'm taking is Management Fundamentals. Since I'm not trying to get a degree in management, it's not that big of a deal. It's just a class I have to get through in order to get my accounting degree. And getting a B is already well within my grasp, so why try harder if it's not really gonna make much of a difference, right?
I've been thinking a lot about baseball now since the season starts tomorrow. I really do think that this year the Twins will make it back to the playoffs and not get swept this time. I mean, we have a 12 game losing streak in postseason play, it's ridiculous. And if we can get matched up against a team that's not the Yankees, we should be golden. Regardless, new season = happy SR.

Quick post before I head out
I've literally gotta jump in the shower in two minutes so I've gotta make this quick. I'm going into the upcoming test with a hope and a prayer. Last test I barely scraped by with a C and I would bet that this time won't be much different. It's not that big of a deal though. I'm still on track for a B so whatev...
Fun fact that I read in the paper this morning (yes, I do read the newspaper). Out of 5.9 million people that filled out brackets on ESPN.com for the tournament, only 2 successfully picked the correct final four. Sadly I'm in the majority :'( lol...

There's one down.
My statistical economics test was extremely easy. It does help though that the teacher lets us have a full sheet of notes with whatever the hell you want on em. So four chapters worth of material and examples later, I should be getting an A. The next few hours will be used to study for my management test tomorrow. 80 questions of multiple choice is an absolute hell. I've just gotta try and hopefully memorize some of the more important terms that we covered in five chapters...
And as I've hinted to in previous posts, Monday means there's night class. What I get to look forward to tonight is a minute long scene from a play featuring myself and Aaron the Mexican. It should be an absolute blast!...

Congrats VCU!
Once again, another great game on today. Definitely wasn't as close as the Butler game yesterday, but still just as intense and entertaining. I'm still rather surprised that I've been watching as much of the Tournament as I have considering I'm not that big of a fan and the Gophers decided to suck it up this season.
In other news, my homework is all done. I just have to get some more studying done for my two tests in the next two days. And that stupid night class... I'm definitely not a fan of having to sit through 4 hours of THEATRE CLASS LECTURES............ Stupid fine arts credit, I mean who really needs to know this stuff??
Done with this post, Kentucky and UNC game is about to start.

Seriously, Florida vs. Butler
Super intense game. I always appreciate the games where each team is trading 3-pointers. Butler came out on top and they definitely deserved it. I hope down the stretch the rest of the games will be like this one.
And by the way, all my brackets have been officially 'busted'. I mean seriously, how did VCU manage to make it to the Elite 8?... :D

NBC Comedy Night
Community - Great episode. The writers did a spectacular job with making a parody episode about Pulp Fiction. This whole season has been awesome and I'm glad it got renewed for the Fall.
Perfect Couples - I've only watched 10 minutes of the first episode. It was awful...
The Office - Michael and Holly are getting married! As far as the episode goes, it wasn't one of the more funny ones. Regardless, it's still top five in terms of favorite shows of all-time. Next new episodes will have Will Ferrell so that should be a good time.
Parks and Rec - Best comedy show this season, hands down. The camping episode didn't fail to produce the laughs. It's amazing how much better the show got from it's first season to now. The writers are writing to all the characters strengths and it's definitely paying off. I'm hoping it lasts!
30 Rock - Tie for second best show this season with Community. Tonight's episode was a bit lackluster but still pretty funny. Not much else to say, the show is very solid and continues to produce high quality episodes.
Outsourced - I stopped watching this show after it started sucking.

Snow
I am aware that this is the state of Minnesota and that we get a fairly decent amount of snow each year, but this is just getting out of hand. Just yesterday, all the snow in my yard had melted and it was finally starting to warm up. Then overnight the snow rolls in and I wake to 5 inches of slop everywhere. I guess it's still March and we're not into the clear until mid April... Whatever, the driveway is shoveled and I have nothing else to do today besides maybe a bit of studying for my two tests next week.
SR...Out!

Tuesdays...
Is there anyone else that doesn't enjoy them either. It just seems like such a meaningless day. I can't just base my opinion on the fact that there is absolutely NOTHING on TV to watch, but seriously, why isn't there anything on TV to watch today? Monday at least has HIMYM. Wednesday has The Middle and Modern Family. Thursday is NBC comedy night. Friday is usually just a throw away day due to myself either A) not being home, or B) playing Xbox. And the weekends always have some sort of sporting event to keep me entertained. There are times when I wish I had cable, but if I did, I'd probably never really be productive during the day.
Whatev... The day is almost over, I can just finish it off by watching some Tosh.0 on my computer.
Night all!

Monday
Not much to report today. The first part of school is over with and I'm back at home. Night class will be lame like usual. I've gotta study a bit for the smelly test that's to come. Maybe another post when I get home tonight, maybe not. Tomorrow for sure though.

First Post!!!
Just getting into the game with my blog. I'm kind of excited to post whatever I deem "exciting". It'll be a little lackluster starting out, but once I get the hang of it, then, urm... it'll be awesome?
The Wild game is on TV as I'm typing this. They're playing some of the most horrendous hockey that I've ever laid my eyes on. It's kind of sad considering a month ago we were right in the thick of the playoff race and now it's come to "Let's just get this season over with...". And just like hockey, the rest of the local teams have really taken a dump as of recent. Vikings had an awful season, T-Wolves are Shocking Asia (Jason Ellis Show reference), and the Gophers teams have all underperformed. I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to the upcoming baseball season since the Twins seem like they're always in contention. The only bad thing is that my favorite player, Pat Neshek, was put on waivers and claimed by the Padres today. I wish him all the best, but I really would've liked to see his submarine style pitching once again. He was just getting back in the game form after the Tommy John surgery!
Anyways, first post. More to come!
